One of the most exciting days of the supply chain year (for me, at least), is the day that the entries for the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards are revealed to the Judges.
And this year was no exception. We have received entries from more than 160 organisations – more than ever before.
The entries are impressive not just because of their scale and scope, but also because they highlight the ambition to push supply chain up the corporate agenda.
The Awards are organised by Supply Chain Standard in association with PwC, and are unique in the depth of analysis involved in the Judging process, which in turn makes them uniquely worth winning.
The next task for the Judges is to create the shortlist of entries that will go forward to the next stage – the presentations. Given the very high standard of entries, that is going to be a very tough task indeed.
Those entrants that make it to the shortlist will be invited to make presentations to the Judging panel in early September.
The Awards will be presented at a gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel in London’s Park Lane on Wednesday 6th November.
On the evidence that I have seen, it is going to be a fantastic night. I hope you can join us.
