Debenhams has selected the Kewill-Inovis Catalogue™ to achieve operational improvements through its global data synchronisation (GDS). The Kewill-Inovis Catalogue™ is one of the retail industry’s leading centralised repository of product information with over 100 million unique items.
Debenhams has selected the service to electronically synchronise product data, with its branded trading partners to deliver a number of benefits to the business.
The GDS initiative will also provide the data accuracy the business requires to move forward with other supply chain initiatives like RFID.
Steve Kircher, director of Information Technology at Debenhams said: “We chose the Kewill-Inovis solution because of its experience supporting the retail industry’s largest general merchandise and apparel trading communities.” He also said that: “With the Kewill-Inovis Catalogue™ we look forward to working with our trading partners to more effectively and accurately synchronise product information and ultimately drive increased sales and reduce time-to-market.”
Jacquie Boast, managing director of Kewill Solutions Europe said: “In today’s increasingly competitive retail environment ensuring accurate product information is crucial for industry leaders like Debenhams. Kewill are at the forefront of delivering GDS solutions to the UK Retail market in partnership with Inovis, and we are excited to be leading the UK adoption with Debenhams and its supplier base. GDS ensures accurate data flow between the retailer and their partners and will reduce the effort and costs of introducing and maintaining products in a retailers range. Furthermore, it will play a major part in generating the return on investment from business efficiency projects such as RFID and VMI.”
