RJ Murray & Son has joined Palletways, the UK palletised freight network.
The Longdown-based, kit sponsor of the Carlisle Centurians Rugby League team, has become one of more than 100 regional depots that make up the nationwide network. Palletways provides a range of express distribution services for small consignments of palletised freight, including next day, economy and timed delivery options.
RJ Murray & Son, which was founded in the 1930s, predicts that its membership of Palletways will help to grow its business by 20 per cent, serving customers in the Carlisle area.
Stephen Murray, principal of RJ Murray & Son said: “Joining Palletways will enable us to fully exploit the palletised freight marketplace in the UK and Europe. Being part of the largest network of its kind will enable us to offer our customers cost-effective overnight and express freight services to anywhere in the country for the first time ever.”
