Gist, logistics service provider for Marks & Spencer, Morrisons and Aldi, is using Paragon software to plan and monitor its time-critical primary distribution operation in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
With in excess of 300 vehicle movements per day, Gist needed a solution capable of providing it with reliable schedules, real time fleet visibility and performance reporting capabilities. Gist are now using Paragon’s Fleet Controller module which provides the link between scheduling and vehicle tracking for more effective transport management.
A spokesperson for Gist said: “If deliveries are late the impact is felt throughout the supply chain – from the RDC to the supermarket shelf. Paragon provides realistic route plans that help us ensure our deliveries arrive at the RDCs on time.”
