Nightfreight is set to take delivery of 200 new vehicles from MAN ERF.
The Irregular Dimension and Weight (IDW) parcel specialist, has appointed MAN ERF UK as its sole supplier of vehicles within the IDW network for the next two years. The move follows the Midlands based company’s confirmation last year of MAN ERF’s preferred supplier status for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes.
George Ward, head of engineering for Nightfreight said: “Vehicle supply is not just about supplying a vehicle. It is about the total life cost along with setting clear measurable standards covering MOT pass rates, vehicle down time and ensuring PMIs are carried out on a timely basis in line with legal obligations.”
Following a secondary management buy out in 2004, Nightfreight has invested a total of £2.4million in service and operational developments in customer-focused, streamlined operation. The strong relationship with MAN ERF will play a major part in the company’s continued success.
