Tradeteam, an Exel company and now part of DHL, has won a four-year contract worth more than £60m with Mitchells & Butlers.
Mitchells & Butlers is the leading operator of managed pubs and restaurants in the UK and includes brand names such as All Bar One, Harvesters and Vintage Inns.
Tradeteam will provide warehousing and distribution for beers, ciders, wines and spirits and will distribute to over 1,900 Mitchells & Butlers outlets across the UK from its network of more than 30 depots.
In addition, Tradeteam will replenish and control stocks as well as provide a telephone helpline to serve the different outlets with any queries they may have regarding their deliveries.

Dispatch to customers in a timely fashion to match food menu changes is critical. Colin Smith, head of supply chain for Mitchells & Butlers said: “We needed to feel confident that a single supplier for the distribution of our wet products would be able to provide us with as much security as multiple providers. In addition, we required a provider that would empathize with our objective of being the number one high street retailer by showing flexibility and being proactive with ongoing development.”
