D.S.Smith Packaging has renewed its contract for another three years, with family-owned logistics provider, Bibby Distribution.
The contract has been renewed early to enable the customer’s dedicated fleet to have its livery replaced, following D.S.Smith’s acquisition of Linpac Corrugated Cases, previously an account operated by Hammond Logistics, prior to Hammond’s acquisition by Bibby Distribution.
D.S.Smith’s packaging operations manager Phil Lockwood, said of Bibby that: “They treat every site as a separate business and provide a team of staff to suit the specific requirements of the contract. Their administration is excellent and their service fits very well with our business.”
Bibby distributes corrugated packaging from the Featherstone factory direct to customers within a 150 mile radius. Timed deliveries are made on a daily basis throughout Lancashire and Yorkshire, to well known brand named customers, utilising a fleet of 10 dedicated vehicles and 26 trailers.
