TDG has scooped the ‘Logistics Company of the Year’ award at the Irish Exporters Association’s Export Awards 2005, held in Dublin earlier this month.
This is the second time that the company has won the award.
John Whelan, chief executive of the Irish Exporters Association, said: “To be successful today in marketing products internationally, exporters need high grade sophisticated supply chain services. TDG have continued to innovate, providing Irish exporters with this type of supply chain solution enabling Irish products to reach the business partner or retail customer efficiently and competitively. This is why TDG have been chosen as the Irish Exporters ‘Logistics Company of the Year’.
Reacting to the award, John McCormick, TDG’s managing director in Ireland said: “This award serves to underpin TDG’s ethos of partnership and thought leadership. It demonstrates our firm commitment to our customers and to the ongoing success in their operations. Winning the award two years in succession reinforces our commitment to best practice and strengthens our position at the head of the logistics industry in Ireland. It’s also a testament to our dedicated staff and to their dealings with our customers and suppliers”.
The Association is a representative body whose mission is the promotion and representation of Irish exporters interests. TDG Ireland was the unanimous choice of the panel following a detailed evaluation process.
