FDB Distribution has announced the sale of 90 per cent of its stock to Quadmaps, an acquisition vehicle jointly owned by Embassy Freight Services (UK) and three private investors.
Francis De Beer the previous owner of FDB Distribution said: “We see the sale of FDB Distribution to this consortium as offering an exciting and progressive future for our company. The new owners have shared with my management team and myself, a business plan that shows an aggressive growth model both in terms of turnover and geographical coverage in the UK over the next 5-10 years.”
“I will continue to play a major role in the ongoing management of the business and look forward to working with the new owners to achieve their business plan over the coming years.”

Heading up the sales drive for the new venture as a shareholder of the company will be Adrian Malupa who has over 30 years experience within the International Logistics sector.
