GAC Shanghai has achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification in quality management system for its logistics and shipping operations.
The international standard judges a company’s quality management system on identification of the various business activities within the organisation, their interaction with other external forces, and the management of these activities. The new standard continuously evaluates customer feedback, enabling the company to improve its understanding of customer requirement and satisfaction levels.
Claus Schensema, managing director, GAC China says: “This certification is not only a testament to our existing high standards, but it also underscores our initiative to offer clients and partners qualified business and financial systems to meet our expanding service platforms in Shanghai and beyond.
With a rigorous quality management system underpinning the business in place, and the recent strategic movement of key personnel to augment service capabilities in China, GAC Shanghai says that it is well poised to offer customers engaging in China trade enhanced service quality and efficiency.
GAC says that ISO 9001:2000 certification is only one part of the company’s ongoing plans to comply with all the new measures to ensure the highest quality standards for its customers globally.
