Serious Food Distribution (SFD) is making a £50,000 investment in a 15-user Accord system, from Business Computer Projects (BCP).
SFD said that the investment in the technology has been stimulated by the company’s rapid growth and the need for a more sophisticated system to assist its plans to open a nationwide network of depots.
The investment covers BCP’s complete Accord solution including; purchasing, sales order management, stock control, telesales and accounting. BCP will work alongside EDP, the leading provider of mobile sales solutions, to develop a fully integrated van sales solution for SFD. The system will be fully implemented at all 3 depots by Easter, one of the busiest times of the year for SFD.
SFD is the foodservice wing of Serious Food of Llantrisant, the fruit juice manufacturer which produces most of the “freshly-squeezed” orange juice and fruit smoothies in the UK.
SFD provides a nationwide distribution service to hotels, and independent retailers via its own fleet of modern, multi-temperature vehicles to deliver a range of speciality foods and fruit juices from its 3 depots located in Slough, Llantrisant and Birmingham.
BCP is one of the UK’s top suppliers of specialist supply chain solutions to the food and drink wholesale industry with key clients including Woodward Foodservice, BWG, Musgrave and SPAR.
