PC Howard has selected Cybit’s Fleetstar-Online telematics solution, to manage its fleet of long-distance vehicles.
The company uses its vehicles to distribute predominantly palletised goods throughout the UK, with a fleet of around 100 vehicles ranging from 7.5 tonne vans to 44 tonne GVW articulated vehicles.
Andrew Howard, managing director of PC Howard said: “One of the key benefits of Fleetstar-Online is that it will help remove much of the stress usually associated with long-haul driving – it’s a tough job and any improvements we can offer benefit all concerned.” Fleetstar-Online is a scalable internet-based fleet and asset management solution.
Vehicles are fitted with a small electronic in-vehicle-unit (IVU), which is tracked by GPS in real-time and then transmits data to Cybit’s online control centre.
