sbh.uk is acting as principle contractor and project manager for fit-out work on B&Q’s new (80,000 sq m) high bay distribution centre at Worksop. The project is scheduled for completion this year. A 30m high bay automated storage system will be able to handle 95,000 Chep pallets with a further 45,000 held in a low bay. Small parts will be stored in a semi-automated 50,000 tote box capacity store. The 93 acre site will provide parking for 175 trucks and 716 private vehicles. There will be 24 dock levellers and 52 entry doors.
