Jungheinrich has opened a new headquarters building at Milton Keynes. The 3,500 square metre head office and service centre in Milton Keynes represents a £3m investment in new customer facilities for Jungheinrich, with a further £1m invested in IT and development at the National Engineering Centre near Warrington.
Jungheinrich sold more than 60,000 units in 2005. Managing director Mark Williamson said: “By reorganising and investing in the business, we have increased profitability. Jungheinrich is one of the few profitable lift truck companies in the world and one of the few lift truck manufacturers able to demonstrate profitable growth and continuous investment.
“We have had to take some tough decisions but firmly believe that by having the right people, the best facilities and being profitable, Jungheinrich UK is well placed to grow ahead of the competition.
