Serious Food Distribution is making a £50,000 investment in a 15-user Accord system from Business Computer Projects.
Serious said that the investment in the technology has been stimulated by the company’s rapid growth and the need for a more sophisticated system to assist its plans to open a nationwide network of depots.
The system will be fully implemented at all 3 depots by Easter, one of the busiest times of the year for Serious.
Serious provides a nationwide distribution service to hotels, and independent retailers via its own fleet of modern, multi-temperature vehicles to deliver a range of speciality foods and fruit juices from its 3 depots located in Slough, Llantrisant and Birmingham.
Business Computer Projects is a supplier of specialist supply chain solutions to the food and drink wholesale industry with key clients.
