Bovis has secured planning permission for its 837 acre mixed use scheme at Stanton Cross in Wellingborough.
The scheme, which covers 837 acres (339 ha) in total, will bring 169 acres of commercial space and 3,100 new homes to the town. Approximately 15.25ha (38 acres) has been earmarked for distribution warehousing – part of which can be for rail-related uses.
Bovis Homes controls additional land intended for the further expansion of Wellingborough beyond the current proposals. The developer expects to start work on the new infrastructure following full planning consent and development of some of the commercial elements could begin shortly thereafter.
Stanton Cross was master planned by Lovejoy. King Sturge and Bidwells Drake are commercial development advisers.
