Slough Estates has announced plans for a £20m speculative redevelopment of the 10.5 acre Nechells site close to Junction 6 of the M6 Motorway and the Heartlands Spine Road in the West Midlands.
To be called Meteor Park, the scheme will total 20,940 sq m (225,400 sq ft) of new, high specification industrial/warehousing space in four detached units ranging in size from 1,937 sq m to 10,443 sq m (20,850 sq ft to 112,410 sq ft) in a secure site.
Each unit, providing office space over two floors along with staff facilities, will be set within landscaped grounds, each with its own service yard and ample car parking.
The units will be suitable for uses falling within Classes B1, B2 and B8 and provide occupiers with between 8-12 metres to underside of haunch and allow for 50kn/sq m floor loading capacity.
