DAF Trucks N.V. is due to start production of an extra-clean engine, at the beginning of next year.
The Enhanced Environmentally-friendly Vehicles (EEV) engine is expected to surpass the current Euro 5 standard criteria, by applying SCR Technology in combination with a passive soot filter. The amount of particles released into the atmosphere is expected to be significantly reduced, enabling DAF’s EEV engines to produce even lower emissions than gas engines.
