Psion Teklogix has unveiled its 7530 UHF RFID compatible hand-held computer. Psion says that this is the first product of its kind to be RFID enabled and durable enough for use in a frozen storage space.
The Windows CE .NET-based device combines the rugged features of Psion Teklogix 7530 with the Psion Teklogix RD7950 UHF RFID Reader, an EPC GEN2 compliant 900MHz RFID reader. The result is a powerful RFID enabled hand-held computer capable of displaying client/server,
Web and enterprise resources, while operating in the most intense and cold environments.
Psion says that while most devices fail when placed in freezing and condensing environments, the 7530 RFID compatible hand-held computer can operate at temperatures as low as -30° C (-22° F).
