DHL Exel Supply Chain has won a £75m, five-year contract with Canon (UK). DHL Exel Supply Chain will manage Canon’s UK logistics operations including; warehouse management, technical services and specialist distribution from a 240,000 sq ft facility in Bardon, Leicestershire.
DHL Exel Supply Chain will manage the receipt and storage of Canon products, pick and pack orders as well as pre-delivery value-add preparation of imaging machines. The company will also manage the equipment set-up, training and removal of packaging material upon delivery. In addition to these activities, DHL Exel Supply Chain will also provide spare parts fulfilment and reverse logistics services.
