Kardex has won the British Materials Handling Federation’s Innovation Award for its latest addition to its automated storage and retrieval range.
The Kardex Puma is a horizontal carousel storage solution, designed to optimise the storage capacity of rooms with low ceiling heights. The compact system provides the equivalent of up to 274 sq ms of conventional storage in one unit, able to operate with 4ms of ceiling height.
Using a clever algorithm that navigates cases through the shortest path to the operator, the Puma helps minimise picking time and boost productivity.
