DHL Exel has opened a new 40,000 sq m distribution centre in Cannock. The site will be managed on behalf of Unilever UK Foods with 200 employees. The site includes technology to store, pick, repack and dispatch goods to around 2,000 stores nationwide. Kevin Havelock, Unilever’s chairman, said: “The technology here is key in Unilever’s ability to manage the last stages in our supply chain.”
