The UK division of logistics company UTi Worldwide has taken a sub-lease on Whatman International’s warehouse on the Larkfield Trading Estate, New Hythe Lane, Aylesford, Kent.
Block C, totalling 54,882 sq ft, has been sub-let for a period of five years one month, subject to a tenant only break after 37 months – with 12 months notice, It has been let at a rent of £200,000 a year. The superior landlord is LaSalle Asset Management .
UTi will use the building for its Bodyshop@home contract. Currently the company operates from eight UK sites including a 71,000 sq ft purpose built facility on the adjacent Bellingham Way Estate.
