Laurent Farman is to take over as managing director of Renault Trucks from Thierry Lepercq who is stepping down with effect from 14 July. Farman is currently in charge of the Romanian market.
Lepercq has decided to return to France to set up his own business outside the truck industry after a 16 year career with the company.
Farman said he was looking forward to coming to the UK and working in the second largest truck market in Europe. “I believe our new product range will give us an opportunity to grow and I look forward to working with the UK team and the network to drive the business forward. But above all it is the customers we must satisfy and I look forward to meeting as many of them as possible.”
Lepercq said: “My decision to leave the company is entirely for personal and family reasons. The past two years has been a challenging but enjoyable experience for me and I firmly believe that Renault Trucks is on the verge of successful growth now that our full range renewal has been completed.”
