The Haven Gateway, which takes in Felixstowe and Harwich, moved a step closer to “Growth Point” status when the government said it was “minded to” approve an application by the Haven Gateway Partnership.
Growth Point status would give the Haven Gateway priority funding for development projects across the sub-region.
The application includes 14 key projects which could gain funding under the initiative. George Courtauld, chairman of the Haven Gateway Partnership, said: “I am confident that our well-established partnership will rise to the challenge.”
