Skills for Logistics, the Sector Skills Council for the freight logistics industries, has appointed John Lister to its board of directors.
Lister has over 25 years experience working in the courier sector and currently is the owner and managing director of London-based Reuter Brooks Couriers. He is also the chairman of the Despatch Association and a founding fellow of the Institute of Couriers.
Ian Hetherington, chief executive, Skills for Logistics, said: “John places a high priority on the continuous professional development of his own staff and we are looking to build on his experiences within the courier sector to ensure that we are providing the industry with relevant skills development and training.”
Lister said: “My appointment to Skills for Logistics’ board of directors will enable me to help shape the future of skills development for the courier community this is something I feel strongly about.”
