TDG has upgraded its warehouse management system to an AIX MARC, which it is running on an IBM ISeries I570 Processor, at its Pocklington site in Yorkshire.
TDG says that the key benefits of the MARC WMS include; automated activity billing, visibility on warehouse activity and stock levels, voice and RFID functionality and layout & resource optimisation.
David Garman, TDG’s chief executive, said: “This world-wide industry first offers TDG’s customers a resilient yet flexible IBM platform on which all our key applications can be hosted. Warehousing customers will have the added benefit of the latest MARC WMS.”
The processors were supplied and configured by IBM reseller Logicalis, and the MARC WMS system supplied by RedPrairie.
