Hallmark Cards has awarded Savoye a contract to automate its 220,000 sq ft Dawson Lane warehouse, in Bradford.
The site which is planned to go live in April 2007 will be capable of processing over 25,000 units per hour from a product range of over 20,000 SKU’s.
Savoye has provided the complete turnkey package including its modular conveyoring technology, and state-of-the-art packaging system Jivaro which optimises the volume of dispatched boxes. Savoye also provided its in-house warehouse management system LM7, which will control the process.
Hallmark Cards’ UK operation employs over 3,500 staff.
