Earlier this year Gladman Developments acquired a 33.5 acre site at J4 M8 Distribution Park near Livingston and announced plans to build Scotland’s largest speculative distribution warehouse development.
It is planning construction of a 300,000 sq ft unit, which could be enlarged into one unit of 600,000 sq ft, with 65 dock levellers and 15m eaves height. Completion of the warehouse complex is planned for early next year, when is expected to have an end development value of £35 million and could provide up to 700 new jobs.
Gladman acquired the site adjacent to Junction 4 of the M8, for an undisclosed sum, in an off market deal from developer Strawson, which was advised by the Glasgow office of Jones Lang Lasalle.
