Palletways London, which was created to provide a hub facility for depots in the capital and the South East, is expanding its operations on the back of significant growth in the business. Palletways said that in the last three months, the number of pallets handled by the hub has more than doubled.
The expansion will see the operation extend to the South West and is expected to comprise some 30 depots. Palletways London, is based at a 40,000 sq ft hub facility in Greenford.
Martyn Young, the hub’s general manager, said: “Our aim is to achieve a further 50 per cent growth in volume by the end of 2006 and this will be achieved by extending the network of local Palletways depots offering services via our London facility and fully using the potential of the hub for inbound international freight.”
