Paragon Software Systems is working with Harrods, to streamline the planning and enhance the service of its home delivery operation.
Harrods has replaced its manual planning with Paragon’s software including Fleet Controller, which is helping increase visibility over its operations.
The software is being employed to plan route and schedule deliveries of fresh and ambient produce from the Knightsbridge store to customers within the M25 motorway.
Ben Reardon, dispatch area manager for Harrods, said: “During our recent summer sale peak, when delivery volumes increased by 150 per cent, the Paragon software really proved itself.”
“The software has enabled us to handle many more deliveries using our own fleet and reduce the need for costly courier deliveries, which equates to a saving of 15 per cent of our overall transport cost.”
