Amtrak has extended its delivery network worldwide through a strategic alliance with SkyNet Worldwide Express. SkyNet operates from Heathrow 24 hours a day, seven days a week with Amtrak delivering its overnight consignments at 4.30am to catch the first commercial flights out of the UK. SkyNet then delivers Amtrak’s consignments the same day via its 180 offices.
“SkyNet has allowed us to offer our customers a fast, reliable next day service across the globe,” said Jonathan Smith, Amtrak’s chief executive. “The Online Booking System makes it really easy and eliminates laborious paperwork”.
