Hallmark Cards has awarded a contract to Savoye for the automation of its 220,000 sq ft Dawson Lane warehouse in Bradford. The site which is planned to go live in April 2007 will be capable of processing more than 25,000 units per hour from a product range of over 20,000 SKUs. Savoye is providing a complete turnkey solution incorporating its modular conveyoring technology, the packaging system Jivaro which optimises the volume of the dispatched boxes, and its in-house warehouse management system, LM7, which will control the process
Richard Campbell, group operations director said: “Our number one objective from the tender process was to develop a long term, mutually beneficial, open partnership with best-in-class providers. Following a rigorous tender process and with the selection of Savoye we have achieved this.”
