Despite a long time in the planning and a negative lobby from residential neighbours planning permission has been granted for a 205,000 sq ft warehouse at Ashroyd Business Park in South Yorkshire.
A further planning application is likely to be submitted shortly for a 55,000 sq ft unit – to be built speculatively. With another four plots remaining, the 36-acre park by developers Ackroyd & Abbott now offers a serviced site capable of accommodating 650,000 sq ft of business floor space and 800 jobs, an investment of £34m.
