P&O Ferrymasters and European Rail Shuttle (ERS) have renewed their existing partnership and extended it by agreeing to increase the number of rail consignments from January 2007.
The new three-year deal will see increased movements to southern Europe via Rotterdam and then onwards to two strategic hubs close to Milan and Venice.
P&O says it has renewed the deal in part because of ERS’s proactive approach to protecting its 45 ft containers with anti-theft bars.
“Over the last two years ERS has provided a tailored and dedicated solution for us and it is based upon this excellent service that we have signed this new agreement,” says Bart Verbeke, P&O Ferrymasters’ director of Intermodal Services.
