Dematic is to begin selling warehouse management systems as standalone packages.
Previously, the Banbury-based company only supplied software for complete turnkey projects that incorporated it’s automated handling division.
Thomas Borghoff, managing director of Dematic Limited, said: “The logistics automation market is now very much a software-driven environment. Given our experience and expertise in delivering successful WMS packages for some of the UK’s most demanding supply chains, it clearly makes sense to begin marketing the software in its own right.”
Deborah Pope has been given the task of driving forward the new strategy into Northern Europe.
