Kuehne and Nagel has opened a state-of-the-art logistics centre in Geel in Belgium.
The new £20 million facility was officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Belgium, Guy Verhofstadt, and the executive chairman of Kuehne and Nagel International AG, Klaus-Michael Kuehne.
The facility offers 45,000 sq m of warehouse space equipped with a 50,000 pallet high-bay storage system. The space also includes 12,000 sq m for value added services.
The new facility allows excellent access to motorways, railways and waterways as well as close proximity to Brussels airport and the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam.
The investment coincides with Kuehne and Nagel’s 50th anniversary of its Belgian organisation.
