Lawrence Christensen has won the European Supply Chain Excellence Award for his Outstanding Contribution to the world of supply chain management.
Christensen was thought to have shown exemplery supply chain management skills in his work for Safeway and famously helping to turn around the fortunes of Sainsbury’s logistics operations in 2003.
Christensen won by an overwhelming majority, voted for by the readers of Logistics Europe magazine.
The organisers of the Supply Chain Excellence Awards said that Christensen is a pioneer of supply chain management in the British food retail industry, having been involved at senior manager and plc board level for over thirty years.
