The International Federation of the Red Cross scooped up two awards at last night’s European Supply Chain Excellence evening, including the overall top prize.
The not-for-profit organisation beat off British American Tobacco and Cisco Systems to pick up the award.
Organisers of the event said that the Red Cross “presented an overwhelming case, evident in the sheer scope of their supply chain operations and in the impressive way in which this system can handle the unforeseen.”
Judges for the awards visited over twenty-four sites over twelve months to assess the entrants for each category and “to experience first hand the improvement initiatives that are driving the industries they serve.”
