TDG Temperature Controlled Services has completed a new environmentally friendly head office at Sherwood Energy Village, Nottinghamshire.
The new site, known as the E-Centre, has been equipped with solar powered lighting, a water system fed by the rain, grass roofs and a building management system to control the airflow in place of traditional air-conditioning.
It has wind turbines and solar power to provide power for car park lighting and ground-source heating and cooling.
Paul Singh, managing director TDG Temperature Controlled Services said: “We monitor our energy usage on a half hourly basis, 24 hours, 7 days per week. Being committed to reducing carbon emissions and energy saving measures is a whole company way of life.”
