CM Downton has taken delivery of the first 20 tractor units out of an order for 60, worth £5 million.
The DAF six by two units will be joined by 100 Tiger curtainsiders, which are liveried with the traditional CM Downton colours combined with branding for parent company EV Cargo.
Operations director Zac Brown said: “Responding to recent contract wins and a flourishing business portfolio, this fleet expansion will ensure the high quality of service the Downton name is renowned for.”
