Gladman Developments has secured a site for a speculative 410,000 sq ft industrial and distribution development near Barnsley in South Yorkshire.
The Cheshire-based industrial and office developer has exchanged contracts to acquire a 25-acre site at Tankersley, less than half a mile from Junction 36 of the M1 motorway from Daimler Chrysler UK.
At the same time it has submitted a planning application for four warehouses, ranging in size from 50,000 sq ft to 160,000 sq ft, which will help to create up to 400 new jobs.
