John Lewis Partnership’s new automated warehouse at Magna Park Milton Keynes will be based in Gazeley’s EcoTemplate.
John Lewis will occupy a 650,000 sq ft unit on a lease term of 20 years. It is the first warehouse unit to be constructed on the 3.8 million sq ft development park and is due for completion in August 2007.
Magna Park Milton Keynes (previously know as Nova MK) received planning approval in May 2006 from The Milton Keynes Partnership Committee and will provide opportunities for modern and flexible warehouse units ranging between 100,000 sq ft to 1 million sq ft.
The unit will incorporate an increased range of sustainable design initiatives contributing to a saving of up to 66 per cent of carbon emissions and £240,000 a year reduction in energy costs when compared to a standard industry unit. Colliers CRE represented the John Lewis Partnership while Jones Lang LaSalle and Burbage Realty acted for Gazeley and Land Securities.
