Savoye has been awarded a contract by Societe de Traitment de la Presse (STP) to undertake the automation of its logistics operations.
STP is a subsidiary of the French post office and responsible for the sorting and mailing of all subscription press throughout France representing some 1.4 billion mailings a year.
The contract covers the complete automation of STP’s three warehouses in Paris, and will provide a processing capacity of 28,000 magazines an hour in a 24/7 operation supplying nearly 250 mail sorting offices.
A-SIS, Savoye’s in-house management system, will enable tracking and traceability of the whole process in real time using Savoye’s WCS LOGYS software packaging.
In addition, in accordance with the strategy of building long term partnerships with its customers, Savoye’s customer service team will be providing production and maintenance service support for the next five years.
