KN Drinks Logistics has won a contract with Anheuser-Busch Europe, which makes Budweiser.
From June, KN will handle Anheuser’s UK distribution and warehousing via its shared-user distribution network. Anheuser-Busch said its business needs were changing and the shared network was a key factor in KN winning the contract.
KN is planning a new shared user facility in the Midlands and will also manage exports to Western Europe and the Middle East.
Previously, the contract was held by Bibby Distribution, which has worked with Anheuser-Busch since the 1990s. Bibby will run the contract until 24 June.
Up to 122 staff might lose their jobs as a result of the switch.
The affected depots are; Bicester Park, Buckingham, Glasgow and Belfast.
A Bibby spokesman said: “During the next few weeks, Bibby and KNDL will be discussing the implications of this decision with the individuals involved at each of these sites.”
