NYK Logistics is to provide the sub-assembly and sequencing operation for Grupo Antolin, which supplies headliners for Honda’s CR-V, Civic and Civic Type S in the UK.
Parts arrive in Swindon from Grupo Antolin’s factory in France each day, then a team at NYK assemble the headliners.
The team of 27 will be responsible for producing 220,000 assemblies in 2007, producing around 680 assemblies a day.
NYK is also responsible for final quality checks, bagging and sequencing, before delivering the assemblies to Honda’s assembly line.
