By wpengineThe Transport and General Workers Union and Amicus are to merge creating the UK’s biggest trade union with about two million members.
The GMB took part in the early merger talks but dropped out in June last year.
Tony Woodley of the T&G and Amicus leader Derek Simpson will serve as joint general secretaries of the new union, which is yet to be named.
