Deutsche Post World Net has opened an innovation centre to develop products which will allow companies to respond to future trends in the supply chain.
The DHL Innovation Centre in Troisdorf near Bonn, includes a showroom, laboratory and exhibition area which allows visitors to see latest technologies that could shape the sector in the future, such as a robot that can unload delivery vehicles and recognise different sized packages.
IBM, Intel, SAP, MIT and German Fraunhofer Institute are just some of the joint partners involved with the project.
