Isuzu plans to launch a range of 10-18 tonne trucks in the UK from the middle of 2008. Since Isuzu came to the UK in 1996, it has only sold trucks up to 7.5 tonnes.
The F-series of middle range trucks has a lightweight chassis promising higher than average payload and an economical “Easyshift” automatic transmission system.
At the CV show last month, Isuzu displayed a prototype of its new “Forward” which is soon to be introduced in the Japanese market. it is planning to launch the vehicle in the UK in the second half of 2008. Isuzu produces more than 400,000 light to medium weight commercial vehicles a year and selling in more than 140 countries.
