Thomson Directories has streamlined its delivery process with help from GeoConcept, a software package from Map Mechanics. Thomson operates a door-to-door distribution of its blue telephone directory but needed a more standardised way of doing it.
Hauling smarter
A web site offering hauliers regulatory information has been launched by Smarthaul offering a single point for regulatory information. The web site is linked to Her Majesty’s Stationery Office and information comes direct from the government. Founder Adrian Elmer said: “Hauliers have been leaving the industry in their droves and we believe that increased regulation is a contributing factor.”
